Leonie Coppes (trainee 2024-2025)
During the first part of her career Leonie Coppes (1992) worked in various political and policy advisor roles in The Hague before changing to investigative journalism. In 2023 she participated in Het Onderzoekslab, the training course for investigative journalism of The Investigative Desk, researching carbon credits. She also started writing for the foreign affairs, art and economics desks at Dutch newspaper De Volkskrant. Leonie’s fields of expertise are international politics, rule of law, lobby, human rights, climate change policy and climate justice.
