Is the flavor ban on vapes having an effect?

The flavoring ban on vapes should reduce the popularity of vapes among young people and protect them from health damage. The Investigative Desk spoke to young people across the country. They don’t feel the ban is working.

In fact, online sales are thriving since the elimination of sales from stores, youth coach Robin van Wieringen also sees. The Investigative Desk discovered last year how minors are using Snapchat and Tiktok via their smartphones to buy and sell e-cigarettes off the regular trails.

Experts see that the enforcement of the flavor ban is a problem for the NVWA’s capacity. In the case of a foreign supplier, it is even impossible to fine.
